Prompted by my recent comment on his similarly recent post, digitalboy addressed what an asshole I’ve been in very blunt terms.
5:08:22 PM digitalboy: jesus do you thrive on being a killjoy?
5:08:29 PM lolikitsune: yes
5:08:32 PM digitalboy: lol
5:08:40 PM lolikitsune: and in turn, you thrive on that
5:08:45 PM lolikitsune: it works out well
5:08:54 PM digitalboy: I don’t think so
5:08:55 PM lolikitsune: see like this,
5:09:10 PM lolikitsune: you can be convinced that you’re better than i am while impressing everyone else
5:09:21 PM lolikitsune: if everyone were stroking your cock you’d be like “wait there’s something wrong here”
5:09:30 PM digitalboy: ah, I see
5:09:40 PM digitalboy: I can actually see the logic in that
5:09:40 PM lolikitsune: but as long as lolikit’s there to dump on your trophy, you know everything’s well in heaven
5:10:04 PM lolikitsune: now that you understand, go back to kicking ass
5:10:06 PM digitalboy: but think of this as well
5:10:19 PM lolikitsune: no.
5:10:23 PM lolikitsune: you don’t need hand-outs from me.
5:10:32 PM lolikitsune: suck it and go write more posts
5:10:33 PM lolikitsune: cheerio
5:10:39 PM digitalboy: fine then.
What good ol’ digiboy has yet to understand is that I have over 9000 penises and he is sucking on all of them.

Sixten’s back on board with drawing stuff for CCY17. He took a month off to do other things. I’m glad he’s back with us, and his latest work is in line with the quality of his previous contributions.
Click the thumbnail to see Sixten’s blog post.
As for CCY17 progress on my end, er, school just started. I have an essay due Thursday so I’m not even worrying about visual novels right now.
Will update soon~

lolikitsune must watch these episodes at least thrice to take less time than it takes Kyon to get rid of his virginity.
This is not an endorsement of the second and currently airing season of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu. It doesn’t say here that this show is good, and that anyone is missing out. Rather, I agree with Pontifus when he says [->]
All the weight/meaning in the world means nothing if you find the experience regrettable or a waste.
So I am not apologizing for the currently airing second season of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu. I will entertain no such folly, never mind the delicious Macross references. What I am saying is that I have pierced the barrier of boredom with my drill of personal enjoyment, and I’ll tell you how I did it. Consider it or not at your leisure. » Continue reading this…

a comment on eternal’s “definitive piece on Honey and Clover” |

_eternal, no hard feelings. I like you, I like your blog, I want to keep it that way.
First, for the unaware, direct your attention to A Thematic Analysis of Honey & Clover, a spoiler-ful post by our buddy eternal. For now let’s leave aside the fact that the ‘analysis’ doesn’t really focus on themes, and let’s examine the meaning of the word ‘analysis.’ First of all, a quote from the comments section, by the post author himself:
I know it sounds cliche, but I honestly think that the show itself wrote this blog post.
The nerve! (I’ll get back to this later. **)
Let me explain to you what an ‘analysis’ is: an analysis is a detailed examination of something, with scrutiny being the most important player. Now let me explain to you what a ‘reading’ is: a reading is what you get out of a work when you consume it.
Remember something called ‘book reports?’ Those things we did back in grade school, “read this book and write a page about it?” Yeah. Book reports involve consuming a work and then translating your reading of that work onto a sheet of paper.
Analysis is more than that, eternal.
I appreciated your book report on Honey & Clover.
I’m going to go write an essay.
** And now for the final blow, going back to the quote of eternal’s. Breaking news: analysis doesn’t write itself. If your post writes itself, then it’s just the stuff you’re taking away from the show at first glance. If you’re getting anywhere deeper than the surface of the show, you’re putting in some effort. Your book report is only as valuable as the depth of your reading, and your reading isn’t deep if your book report wrote itself.
I’ll say this right now: a post that merely summarizes the characters and their struggles, employing such beautiful turns of speech as “it’s as simple as that,” can never be the definitive piece on any work.
Sorry, eternal, the objection wrote itself.
And now a promise, lest I seem too much the angry troll: expect at least two posts coming in the not-too-distant future, one on an assortment of smiles, insert songs, hard-boiled eggs, and honey sandwiches, and the other on Morita Shinobu and how his backstory episode is a useless piece of tripe.

Breaking news!! CJ Blackwing has posted a fairly comprehensive review of the game, featuring screenshots and commentary. Check it out!
That’s right, bitches. I’m releasing this one day early.
It all began one dreary November evening when I read a comment of CCY’s (“make ccy make a visual novel, the visual novel”) and opened Ren’Py. I began scripting and I never looked back.

CCY-senpai wa 17sai 0.1 Release Date in Sight |

I don’t know what that faggot ghostlightning has been up to, but I’ve been working on my visual novel. I made this promise on Twitter already, but here it is with a bit more info:
=-= This Friday, July 31st =-=
I will release version 0.1 of my visual novel CCY-senpai wa 17sai, a satirical epic featuring our beloved eternally youthful senpai CCY. Last version released was version 0.04, in which I introduced a ton more story and some background images.
This version will bring many new things to the table.
1. The first smatterings of Sixten’s contributions to the game. CCY’s sprite will be present in every scene, and one of the backgrounds is Sixten’s.
2. Music. lelangir transcribed some anime music, so we have suitably annoying midi backgrounds.
3. More story. Lots more story. More branching, more options, more bad ends, more good ends.
4. Character art from Choux: five beautiful character sprites to liven up the game’s scenes.
And there’s more… touched up dialogue, improved ending notes, credits, an opening, and, well, more. I won’t enumerate it all here. But there will be a changelog when I release the game this Friday. It’ll be good.

This is a major leap forward from last release.
And remember: this won’t be a final version of the game. It’s still very much unfinished. There will be more releases as I make suitable progress in the future. Continued community feedback throughout the game’s development is crucial to a good final product, so please: play every release and comment in as much depth as possible!
Thank you, and look forward to Friday.

Today, I went to the admin panel of notdotq. I logged in as lolikitsune, clicked ‘Add New,’ and pasted the full text of my Endless Eight post into the text box on the New Post page. I changed the title to ‘Endless Eight is Endless Lulz,’ added the appropriate tags, threw on a handful of tags like so many splotches of paint on an unfinished wall, and then I said to myself, “not this time, Ghastly Crucifier!”
And I clicked, ‘Delete.’
Never again, quoth the phantomflash, Never again will I desecrate lolikit’s sacred Jasonian (pronounced JAY-SOH-NEE-UN) shrine with my tomfoolery of a trolling attempt. Never again will I trick people into thinking that lolikit is the one posting these posts. Never again will I so much as think of outdoing Kyoto Animation, henceforth, Team Troll.
Never again, quoth the spectralthunder, Never again.
And then a Frosty Hurricane came upon me, and I sampled his scrotal sweat, and I thought to myself, “what a wonderful world.”
