the world is broken in the eyes of broken people embarrassing remarks are prohibited—as punishment, read this page About¬.Q is the seventh evolutionary stage of this site, previously known as “Miao on My Mind.” We’ve gone through at least ten names since inception in March 2006. You probably see links to this place from a dozen different blogrolls, and they’ve all got notdotq listed with a different name. Mission Accomplished. notdotq is an anime blog (that is, a web log dedicated to discussing anime), and it’s also an anime blog blog (that is, a web log dedicated to discussing anime blogs). Its author—I, lolikitsune—am something of a community cumdumpster. I shouldn’t have to explain. If you don’t get it… don’t seek enlightenment. Here’s a safe fun fact, though: I am in the habit of taking screenshots of screenshots posted on people’s blogs because I am too lazy to take screenshots myself. Yes, that’s right. I don’t steal screenshots and hotlink them—I take screenshots of them. That’s how notdotq rolls. Another important fact to remember is that I have undying love for Jason Miao. That’s right. This entire site is dedicated to him. Even its old title (MoMM) is derived from his blog’s old title (“Anime on My Mind”). If you have any advice on how I might secure his penis in my mouth, I shall listen to you. If I follow the advice, and it works, I will give you my soul. And now for a bit of history!
I once blogged on Blood+ in the form of episodal limericks, long before having a dedicated anime blog. That time is long gone, but, having been sufficiently fired up by the travesty that was Mai Otome 24, I decided to pick up the blog once more and wield it in the war against anime. Eventually, I grew weary of fighting bad anime, and turned to something else: blogging Kanon 2006, in French. Shortly thereafter, due to emo, I shut down this blog. It came back, with a new layout dedicated to the show Kyoushiro to Towa no Sora, “the” show I was then blogging. I blogged for about half a year after that before quitting again, in despair with the idiocy of anime blogging and anime bloggers. Somewhere along the road of not being an anime blogger any longer I realized that I hadn’t really excommunicated myself from the community and was thusly facing the same retarded shit every day even without running a blog. In March 2008, I returned. I knew that, wielding the anime blog once more, I could deal with idiocy and fanboyism in a more direct fashion: After a couple months of that, I won myself an award as the Best Satire Blog in the aniblogosphere. I felt really cool, so I blogged a lot for a another month, powered entirely by my e-penis. Eventually, around my 18th birthday in June 2008, I wore myself out. Around mid-October 2008, though, I used my pure, maidenly love for Jason Miao to rejuvenate myself. notdotq became Miao on My Mind, satire begot satire, lulz skyrocketed out of control, and this here anime blog became an unstoppable behemoth of awesome. Fuck yeah.
notdotq may or may not be revoking the rape jokes. |
