your thoughts have summoned this post from hell so, as i pray... Home > Archives > 2010 > September > 06 Stop what you are doing and read this mangaManga: Honeymoon Salad This is the best manga I have ever read. And yes, I have read all your favorite manga. You know what you need to do. So do it. God damn it, why are you still reading this? [NSFW due to sexual content; inappropriate for children due to intellection.] Ignore the “genres” that Manga Fox erroneously ascribes to this work. It is not comedy; it is not ecchi. The rest may or may not apply, but mostly it’s humbling epic win. |
it is moist & delicious meta and it's not even a lie! 22 ResponsesLeave a Comment |

4 volumes, plus 1 volume of back story, in one night

Now if only they’d finish scanlating the series, right? :P

Tell me when it’s finished. I’m afraid of commitment.

a shoujo? if yes, no thank you.

No… it’s seinen.

LK this seems just like typical harem blank self-insert to me…
Of course, that’s why I enjoy it…
lelangir said:
kinda like…ok, he’s tortured? Urban alienation? Oblivious osananajimi? Is this supposed to imbue it with “artistic merit”?
lolikitsune said:
Harem? Oblivious osananajimi? Are we reading the same manga? This isn’t even really a love triangle, much less a harem. And I don’t think anyone here is oblivious. How far did you read before making these obviously superficial and incorrect jdugments? I’m glad you are “enjoying” it, but there’s way more to it than being (or not being, in this case) a typical self-insert harem. I would say more here, but I am on mobile and this is wearisome. We can discuss in more depth later.

Thanks to your recommendation, I was enjoying it till chapter 20+ but then I spoilt myself by reading what the ending is about, and now I do not want to continue ._. I might read Baby Leaf though, its prequel
lolikitsune said:
Is the ending that bad? Please answer this question without spoiling.
CherylHew said:
Uuuuuuhh, that’s a hard thing to answer XD;; I think it’s my own preferences that made me shun the ending though, so I think it’s still safe for most readers. You should enjoy the manga and don’t think too much about the ending, because once I’ve slept on it, it’s still a terrific story with great characterisations and all that jazz, I might just pick it up again when I’m more free =)
lolikitsune said:
Gotcha… well, good luck with that =)
I have faith in Ninomiya’s writing.

I’m completely convinced after reading this post, but fuck….it’s not fully scanlated? Huge turnoff.
lolikitsune said:
Sorry GloBro, just the way things stand ATM. If it ever gets finished, I’ll write another post like this one :P

I dropped whatever i was doing and sat through all the scanlated chapters and the prequel in a night. Thanks for robbing me of my sleep and replacing it with awesomeness.
lolikitsune said:
You are welcome :)

I liked it enough to read the last volume raw, but it was worse then the previous ones [REDACTED BY LOLIKIT]
lolikitsune said:
Sorry for editing your comment bro. Too much implied spoiler for my tastes. Glad you liked the manga though.
achi-kochi said:
Nah was my bad. Was trying to spoil as much as possible without actually telling anything. I’m just evil sometimes~
