This may be a month late. This may be 54 chapters late. But better late than never. Who’s responsible for this not being “never?” That would be Author, who just posted a link to Miao Diary Chapter 2 Part 1. My first reaction… well, you all know me. An inexplicable urge to blow chunks, the inability to convey thoughts via words, and a never-before felt throbbing in my heart.
It’s at times like these that I wish my relationship with Jason were slightly less … violent. I’d like to talk to him about this, go over it with him, smooth things out… But ah well.
Once I got over the immediate reaction, I enjoyed Miao Diary quite a bit.
But I got to thinking—the Miao in Miao Diary is hardly the Miao I know. The Miao I know may be as flat, but he’s a dude, and doesn’t have ears or a tail. No 10% here. I also got to thinking—I’ve been writing about Miao since February. Sixten can’t touch this.
Night Switch
In February, I started writing a story—in small pieces—called “Night Switch.” It focuses on three “protagonists,” Jason, Joe, and Marin, and is about their interactions with each other and the country that they live in (2012 America).

There are too many reasons to count, let alone list.
For now, accept that it’s simply a disgrace to everything innocent and pure in the aniblogosphere. Also, I hate Rule 14. CJ can attest to this. Can’t you, whore?

I suppose I understand why she-who-must-not-be-named preferred watching anime to reading light novels. All that could be packed into 2 episodes and things still make sense. Although the reason why there’s no character named LK eludes me, I think this story has potential if you know how to properly build up to the climax. The story could escalate into a worldwide crisis, or ultimately just a bunch of anecdotes full of teen angst.
Ur right when saying not many will understand its in-jokes, but few of them are about anime anyway.
Was gonna say something hilarious about Miao Diary but a good hour of my life spent reading Night Switch has led to dissociative amnesia. Anyway,

@frankeinstein – who’s the “she-who-must-not-be-named” ? I’m kind of lost. There’s no LK character because the story isn’t self-insert… unless you’re referring to Lovely Kitsune, in which case you’re absolutely right and there needs to be one. And worldwide crisis is sort of what I’m building up to. Just. Slowly.
