your thoughts have summoned this post from hell so, as i pray... Home > Archives > 2007 > February > 16 Byousoku 5cm – er, why has no one said anything yet?Like that it’s awesome? Like that it’s the prettiest thing ever made? The first part, entitled “Sakura,” was released on the Byousoku 5cm website. A rip of this was distributed via torrent (you can find it on Tokyotosho, or this link for the lazy ones). I saw it approximately one hour ago, downloaded it in half an hour, and then watched it immediately, setting everything else aside. No, I didn’t understand every word. No, Os, I can’t make soft subs for you. But I understood what I needed to: it was beautiful. And how! All of you, go watch it. And perhaps someone with more eloquence/a greater understanding of Japanese can write a more intelligent post about this gem. Get to it, ANO. (Apologies for the overabundance of posts today.) EDIT: THANK YOU HINANO. |
it is moist & delicious meta and it's not even a lie! 5 ResponsesLeave a Comment |

It was really pretty… any frame is a beautiful piece of art.
I can’t wait till the next part. Before that, I’ll proabably be watching this a few more times. Makoto Shinkai is such an inspiration.

Oh, I’ve been fanboying it since the first trailer. You are unable to tend to me skillfully, so you didn’t notice.

… of course people have been fanboying since the first trailer. The question was of the first part of the movie itself.

What’s the running time of this first episode?

Like, 28 minutes or something? Four of those are the ending credits and preview, though.
