I didn’t say anything for a long time because I was behind on the show for about two months, but after completing episode 21 I feel perfectly safe in saying that there are no killer lolis. Satoshi (who killed his aunt) is not a loli, Shion (who killed just about everyone) is not a loli, Keiichi (who killed Rena and Mion) is not a loli, Takano (who killed Tomitake) is not a loli, and Irie (who killed himself) is not a loli. The killers (and suiciders) are not lolis and the lolis are not killers (though one of them is a suicider). Fuck you WinD for putting the term “killer loli” in the eyecatch of one or more of your fansubs, fuck you Jason for leading countless mindless fanboys into a “killer loli” phase, and fuck you mindless fanboys for listening to fucking Jason and paying attention to whatever losers are behind WinD’s releases. I was right at episode twelve, I was right at episode thirteen, and I’m still. Fucking. Right.
Goes to show what correct conclusions one can come to if one bothers to think.
EDIT: oh, and fuck you people who thought that there was supernatural shit in this show.

Have you seen ep 22 yet? It looks like Rena is going to put that cleaver looking thing from ep 1 to use in the next episode, and I’m sure she qualifies as a loli. But I agree that whoever is still posting about “killer lolis” thing needs a swick kick to the nuts, it was funny the first few times. Enough already..

I haven’t seen ep 22 yet. I plan on doing so tonight on 2x. The last few episodes were way to gruesome and uninteresting. Made me dislike the show. It’s just not cool anymore.

Regarding the lolis, I give a reserved nod of agreement. There’s an argument to be made that Rika killed the entire village of Hinamizawa in the 3rd and 4th plot arcs, but that’s not the kind of “killer loli” folks were talking about before. There’s still room for Rena to chip in some violence, but let’s not hold our breath.
Regarding the supernatural, I’d argue that Rika is prescient which, aside from the handful of kooks that consider parapsychology to be a legitimate science, is “supernatural” in nature.

If we were to take the UN’s definition of child, then yes, there are lolis in Hinamizawa. Although we all know otherwise. Killer, though, t’s up to you.

OMG, someone with an opinion. Nice post. Cracked me up.
I agree with you about Higurashi in general which is why i stopped watching episode ~13.
As for fanboys, same thing goes for Siesta from Zero no Tsukaima. She drives me nuts but there are so many damn fanboys all over her nuts(she might as well be male in my eyes)

Alot of people say only Rika and Satoko are lolis…Isn’t the term loli for 15 and under?
Rena is 15. And she has killed people.
Satoko does kill Keichii in one arc by pushing him off a bridge…so there you go.
And Hanyū – also refered to as Oyashiro…who is basically tied to the disease that is making people crazy…right? Hanyū is a loli for sure.
Better to watch the whole thing before going nuts and cursing everyone out…but hey what do I know..not a fan boy..just some girl who enjoyed the show, and thinks its neat to slap the term ‘killer lolis’ on this show o.O

As for defining loli, there have to be limits to the convenience of your arguments.
